                  KKR has bid well in the auction and added some good proven players. The playing XI could be as follows :

 Opening

Shubman gill is the anchor for KKR playing at about 120 130 strike rate. He can combine with left handed Nitesh Rana for a left right combo. Sheldon Jackson is a highly experienced domestic player who played syed mushtaq ali at a strike rate of 150. He is also reliable, a prolific run scorer and a top 3 option

Middle order

Eoin Morgan needs to bat up the order to create the impact. It also allows him to play the captains knock. The presence of a reliable shakib at no. 4 allows eoin to take more risks.

Finishers

Russel and Karthik make up the finishers. Form of both these players is worrisome and ben cutting could slot in place of russel.

Pace

Cummins plays ahead of ferguson because of his batting ability. He is in red hot test match form. Prasidh krishna and mavi make up the indian fast bowling options

Spin

Harbhajan at 8, Varun C and Shakib makes a strong spin trio with variety. As bangladeshi players may not play all matched, naraine slots in for shakib when he is not available 


                                     


Weakness: KKR has several weakness, as follows

  1. Inexperienced Pace bowling: Mavi and Krishna dont win you enough matches and they cant play ferguson without spoiling the balance
  2. Form of Dinesh Karthik and Russel. You can replace Russel with Cuttting but Cutting is more suitable for 6 or 7.. While TN won the syed mushtaq ali, it was karthik the captain over karthik the batsman that did it and tripathi might slot into this place
  3. Mcculum + Morgan combo did not seem to have a clue in ipl 2020 on the batting order and seemed to be experimenting in all matches. Unlike succesfull franchises like CSK and MI they dont show faith in players. They have however done well at the auction
